Laws are not Always Enough to Ensure Food Safety

Food safety can greatly be achieved by improving linkages between the actors in the Agribusiness industry. This will help the industry to adopt standards and traceability systems, promote self-regulation and empower informed consumers to take action.  It should not always be at the behest of laws that a positive change takes place in managing issues of food safety!

When organizations and individuals place importance on proper food handling practice knowledge, encourage safe food hygiene practices, and emphasize on early detection of food-borne illnesses among food handlers to avoid the spread of illness to others, individual food handlers can be empowered to make better-informed decisions in the overall undertaking of daily food-related activities.
